Assignment7 – Journey

Finally I developed the films shot for the last assignment of term one.This was a train journey on waterloo line in a very sunny afternoon.And it’s my first time doing a small multimedia thing since the course began,the sound was recorded by holding a mp3 recorder when I passed by a player in the tube.

Assignment6 – short photo story

In this assignment,we looked through all the elements: people’s relationship,portrait, details,establishing shot etc.,in order to visualize a short story. I turned back to this family and tried to tell a simple story with more emotional things.It is about a single father’s once-a-week get together with his children.

I told myself I could’t like Bruce Gilden, suddenly jump in front people and give a big flash.But when I shot people in a distance on the street,it is like picking up things from the ground , like doing the composition practice. Then I think about bruce again,why not,it can be fun,like give people a big surprise.I tried to get close to people to give a snapshot.It is not easy at the beginning,the pressure on my arm.But it was getting better,more and more free.Then I find out some simple theme,not a clear goal,just to make shooting easier,give camera a direction, like people in a busy,old people traveling alone,women..
